Many of you will be aware that September 2016 marked 100 years since the birth of Roald Dahl - the world’s number one storyteller.
In order to celebrate this we booked the fantastic Konflux Theatre Company to visit Drumhillery on Tuesday 4 October 2016. Konflux Theatre is a trusted Theatre in Education Company, working successfully throughout the UK for over 19 years.
P1-3 enjoyed a one hour long Creative Learning Workshop all about The BFG, while P4-7 participated in the highly popular ‘Play in a Day,’ re-enacting George's Marvellous Medicine. This was an enjoyable, participatory workshop where the pupils spent the day in the school assembly hall with a professional workshop leader, putting together their own performance.
Taking part in a Play in a Day workshop gives the pupils the opportunity to increase their subject knowledge, build in confidence, develop their speaking and listening skills, take part in team building exercises and allow for self-expression.
At 3pm some parents came in to view the P4-7 performance. Thanks for your support!
