Armagh Walking Tour
1st Nov 2019
We recently enjoyed a fantastic walking tour round Armagh, as part of our on-going Shared Education topic with St Josephs PS on the Armagh Railway Disaster. Our tour guide was Mrs Donna Fox (Donna Fox Tours) who provided some fascinating insights into the disaster from a local perspective. The children were especially interested in the statue of a small girl with a bucket and spade, located in the Mall, which was errected some years back in memory of those who died. We also visited the County Museum and enjoyed another talk by Don, who showed us some relevant relics, maps and artefacts from the time of the tragedy. Well done to all the children for their excellent behaviour.
